Betty Fulton joined the Holyrood Art Club in 1980 . After retiring from her career as a maths teacher she served as the club treasurer for some time. Betty was a stalwart supporter of all the Clubs activities. She never missed any of the club outings unless she was touring with her husband Jim in their Caravanette usually to France. She had a reputation with her family of being a great cook and enjoyed entertaining when she would play the piano accompanied by her husband on the violin. She was bright and cheery to the end despite suffering from a stroke which left her unable to look after herself. She is survived by her son and daughter and 2 granddaughters.

IN MEMORIUM

Jack Peterson joined the Holyrood Art Club in 1972. He was a proof reader with the Scotsman Newspaper. Jack had a distinctive style of painting which I would describe as being precise and peaceful. He looked after the Club archives meticulously for many years. He very much enjoyed the outings and despite health problems he still made every effort to be at meetings and club outings. Although latterly he was unable to attend he looked forward to reading the Club Newsletter and still continued to paint even whilst in Hospital. Jack is survived by his 2 sons and grandchildren.
